Webcam Surveyor

If you want to install a security system in your house, but those that are for sale are too expensive, it might be a good idea to reuse your webcam and create your own security system with Webcam Surveyor. With this software, you will be able to connect your webcam to your PC and automatically monitor any movement that happens in front of your webcam.

  Webcam Surveyor allows to connect a webcam and wait for any movement to occur in front of it. As soon as something moves, the software will run the action that the user has programmed in advance, like for example: record, take photographs, send an email or upload the resulting file or files to an FTP. Thus, as soon as the application has uploaded the file, we will be able to know who or what has activated the alarm, wherever we are.

  Webcam Surveyor can record in MJPEG, DivX, MPEG-4 and MPEG Layer 3 (MP3), WMAudio Encoder (WMA) format and take photographs in JPEG, BMP and PNG, what's more the bitrate, resolution and compression quality can be adjusted depending on the users preferences.

  Any files that Webcam Surveyor obtains from the camera, will also be available in the media library that it includes, so that they can be kept well organized.
